In Dukhan the fisrt oilfield was discovered in 1939.

They started production for export in 1949.

Qatar started offshore procutioning 1966.

The Qatar Genral started Petroleum company in 1974.

Raslaffan Industrial city completed before 1983.

2005 The Dolphin developed project to pipe gas to the UAE.

2008 Qatar gas took delivery of teh world's largest  LNG carrier.
